I've been making badges - my quest to be Queen of Etsy

So the first thing I've been putting on my new Etsy are badges! Shrink plastic badges, which are hella fun to make.

I had a table at the Zine Fair

I had a table at the Leeds Zine Fair. It was okay, I didn't sell a load, I made a small profit which is better than nothing. It was a lot more relaxed than Thought Bubble, not as many people and kind of a different audience. It made me look forward to Thought Bubble a lot. I like the massive crowds and how hectic it is.

I made an Orange is the New Black zine, which had some printing difficulties at first. it was pretty popular. I'm gunna re-use this for Thought Bubble to reduce stress.

I also made a zine of rude animal puns, which was my far my favourite, and I got a lot of positive feedback on it.

I went to my first festival

Hevy Fest down in Kent, there was a zoo there which was nice, it wasn't too depressing. The toilets were vile as I expected and I've never felt so privileged to have a toilet I feel happy to sit down on before.

Summer 2015- Quest for money

I'm wanting to leave my job at Tesco. Although I've been making money through commissions, I need more to live off of, so I've been trying to build up my online presence on different websites like Etsy. I found a site called Fiverr where you can offer a service and be paid £5 for it. Although £5 isn't a lot, I think that it might be possible to get quite a few quick commissions out of it.

Summer 2015 - Getting lots of commissions. Yay.

I was asked at the start of summer to create designs for merchandise for two previous clients for their up-coming UK tour.

I really enjoyed making these, it's easier working with people who you are kind of on a friendly basis with. Although it took me ages to complete everything, I got a fair amount of money for it. Tese aren't all the pieces of work I did, they were loads, but they asked me to create designs for tattoos, notebooks, badges and other stuff like that

Summer 2015 - I went to Turkey

So I went to Turkey for a week. It was the nicest possible thing and I made friends with a kitten. Or hotel was nice but we got made fun of for being vegetarian. People in Turkey are very pushy when trying to sell you things, I didn't like that.

There were lots of stray dogs and cats. That was the best part. My favourite one was a really scruffy black dog with lots of fur, he smelt a lot.
